Another adventure begins

It is now the beginning of Spring and I am excited about my newest project at "Rooted". For a couple of months, ideas have been emerging, and a concept that I have been creating and exploring for some time now has found steps forward. We are creating a Labyrinth.

A Labyrinth is a purposeful spiral path usually contained in a circle. The Labyrinth will be on the southeast corner of the Farm, and the path will be defined by our propagated Lambs Ear plants.

Labyrinths date back 4000 years and are a tool for mindfulness and clarity. As you walk the path to the centre and back out again, the intention is an integration of the body, mind and spirit. It is a journey of self discovery and inner peace.Helping us to quiet the mind, calm anxieties and reduce stress, promoting life balance and insight.

The size will be relatively small in comparison to most public Labyrinths. It will be roughly fifty feet in diameter with the entrance facing east. The centre point will be marked with a special feature as well as the four directions.

While it is still in the early stages, it brings me hope and joy.
