The power of connection

During a morning of contemplation, I was inspired by a conversation that I had yesterday with a dear friend. She referred to the horses in her care and how they communicate to other members of their herd. A horses movements or "words" are clear and concise, as each individual has their role in the herd.

This offered me the opportunity to ponder how I communicate to others-including all species on earth and myself. Was I being truthful, compassionate and kind? Did I listen with the intention of being curious and understanding the other's point of view?

Although we are in the Winter season of rest and rejuvenation, my determination to finish some of my projects can weigh heavy on me. I am learning to communicate with myself, allowing and giving myself permission to release some of the pressure and loosen some of the strings that are pulling me in all directions.

As I listen to my internal clock, it is resetting for Spring. Reminding me that Mother Nature will be sprouting soon, and my maple trees will be flowing with sap.

My physical and emotional body are also talking and sensing the busy days approaching; so let's enjoy the time resting and planning. Having focus and respect for myself and others seems to be calling me forward.
