A Rooted Spring

In April 2016 we were looking for property to build a new Life. One day we had lost our sense of direction and saw a "For Sale" sign with an arrow. Following that arrow changed my life.

 We purchased the fourteen acres, now known as "Rooted". It had been an asparagus farm for almost two decades and it was ready for a change. We were a perfect match. The Land needed to rest and imagine a new future and it included me. 

It has been nine years and my learning curve never ends. The large field at the front of the property hosts some of my original herb plantings....white yarrow, lamb's ears, artemisia and tansy but the wind and the birds gift me new varieties of plants. The original plants were given to me by a special friend. Now I can share that gift.

Chosen flower and shrub companions surround The Cabin and The Studio with the everchanging landscape. Wild nettles offer a spring tonic for my tea, while the Rhubarb is growing vigorously.

Flowers, Herbs and Botanicals are used fresh and dried, creating their own designs. I am anticipating and participating in the plan for "Rooted' as we evolve and nurture together.
