A contemplative stream

The warmer weather is finally here and I am sitting on my back deck admiring the orioles, and listening to the birds and frogs. This weekend I received a fountain as a gift, so it is an additional song in the mix.

As I listen, my intention is to understand and create more flow in my life. I am not letting things " just happen" but I am creating a melting pot of ideas that overflows and refills with its own momentum.

I am realizing that my previous career as a retail Florist has ended. It gave me a life of floral design creativity helping many people celebrate various occasions. Now I want to acquaint myself with the energy and beauty of the plants, flowers and trees that are part of my daily routine. As I prepare their flower beds or move them to a more desirable location, I have a sense that they have chosen me as well.

Yes, I am their steward, but now I understand their interaction with me is in a grounded helpful way.

As I listen and talk to my Friends and Family, the common thread is a re-evaluation of the balance in our lives regarding our connection to work, play, rest and relationships. This year I have had moments of relaxation and contemplation that have surprised me. My body and mind enjoyed the rest, helping me understand how my thoughts effect my nervous system and my level of comfort.

"Rooted " has been my home for the past decade. We have shared many memories and as the fountain trickles behind me, I ask myself " what do I truly want for the next ten years"?...  I have a heartfelt vision of a simple, calm, life connected to Family and Friends.

I invite you to contemplate your vision.

-Take good care-

Annette
